After years of purchasing traditional power strips, I decided to try something different. This time, I purchased the ECHOGEAR Power Strip Surge Protector with 8 Rotating-Outlets, Cable Management, Flat Plug & Fireproof Technology.
After opening the box and inspecting the surge protector, the surge protector felt sturdy, and I liked the design. The two tabs at the end of the unit promptly caught my attention, because it was not obvious what they were for. After glancing over the accompanying information, I found they were for cable management; a feature I probably won’t use.
I purchased the surge protector from Amazon.com, and some of the reviews said that power cord prongs fit loosely in the surge protector’s outlets. I did not have that problem. I’ve only used a few of the outlets so far, but prongs have fit pretty securely in the ones I’ve used.
So, at the time of writing this post, I am very satisfied with the surge protector, and I have no complaints.
