Purchasing the Surge Protector Electric Charging Station Power Strip Tower, by LOVIN PRODUCT, was my second foray into buying a non-traditional power strip. The ECHOGEAR Power Strip Surge Protector with 8 Rotating-Outlets… was my first.
I like the Surge Protector Electric Charging Station Power Strip Tower. The first thing I noticed, however, is that it is lighter than I expected. Though it is made entirely of plastic, I expected it to have a little more heft to it.
As for performance, it works as expected, and it allowed me to go from using two power strips down to one. It also allowed me to organize my device power cords.
I use the power strip tower in the kitchen at my Google Fiber point of entry. On one side of the tower, I have the essential devices like my network hub and Ooma Telo plugged in, and, on another side, I have my entertainment devices like the TV and Roku plugged in. This leaves two sides entirely empty.
My mini tablet and cell phone, which used to take up an outlet each when charging, I now plug into the usb ports.
I am writing this post after 4 months of use, and, at this point, I can say that I am completely satisfied with the Power Strip Tower.
I will add another observation in closing. With the room lights off, the power strip LED lights are very noticeable, as seen in the photo below.
