  2. I decided to upgrade netpressionist.com to Newspaper 9 and finally learn how to use the TC Composer. I use Visual Composer on most of my sites, including netpressionist.com, but I did not have many Visual Composer posts on that particular site, so I decided to go all in with TD composer. I converted the Visual Composer posts to regular posts, and recreated the netpressionist.com homepage using TD Composer. TD Composer actually isn't too bad, if you commit some time to using it, and not concentrate on how something would be done differently in Visual Composer. With that said, I still prefer Visual Composer at this point. With the posts converted and the homepage recreated, I deactivated the Visual Composer Plugin. Next, I will explore more of the tagDiv Cloud Templates, and experiment with assigning them to single WordPress posts.

  12. I bought this adapter to connect a HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor to my 2017 iMac, to serve as a second monitor. While there were other cables/adapters that might have been compatible, I bought the CableCreation USB-C to VGA + USB 3.0 + USB 3.1 Type C Adapter specifically because it listed that it was compatible with the 2017 iMac. Connecting the VGA cable to the adapter, and the adapter to the iMac was all straight-forward. After connecting the adapter to the iMac USB 3 port, the HP Pavilion monitor immediately displayed the iMac desktop. I did encounter one problem. Though both monitors worked, there was an error message in the top right-hand corner of the iMac similar to: error - USB Accessories Disabled, Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices The above may be pretty close to the exact error message, but I did not save the message after conducting an internet search. After conducting an internet search, I read on an Apple forum that an SMC reset should solve the problem. I then followed the instructions under How to reset the SMC on Mac desktop computers, at the following url. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295 That got rid of the error message. I wanted this two-monitor setup primarily so I could use the HP Pavilion monitor to display the Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) application, with a window on the iMac monitor serving as a source. The CableCreation USB-C to VGA + USB 3.0 + USB 3.1 Type C Adapter allowed me to do this, so I am initially giving it a 5 star rating. If anything changes, I will update this review.
  13. After years of purchasing traditional power strips, I decided to try something different. This time, I purchased the ECHOGEAR Power Strip Surge Protector with 8 Rotating-Outlets, Cable Management, Flat Plug & Fireproof Technology. First Impression: After opening the box, the surge protector felt sturdy, and I liked the design. The two tabs at the end of the unit promptly caught my attention, because it was not obvious what they were for. After glancing over the accompanying information, I found they were for cable management; a feature I probably won't use. I purchased the surge protector from Amazon.com, and some of the reviews I read said that power cord prongs fit loosely in the surge protector's outlets. I did not have that problem. I've only used a few of the outlets so far, but prongs have fit pretty securely in the ones I've used. So, my first impression is a good one, and I have no complaints. If I continue to be impressed, I will probably buy a couple more for rooms that experience a higher rate of plugging and unplugging of devices like mini-tablets, phones, battery chargers, etc. That is where I think the unit's flexibility will come in handy most. If my opinion changes, I will update this review.
